Our journey to clearer hearing
My name is Stephen, and I started The Wax Collector from a personal and family connection to ear wax problems. My career in the NHS began in 1994 as a Health Care Support Worker on Neurosurgery, progressing to a Clinical Support Worker with skills in observations, venepuncture, ECG procedures, and blood monitoring for diabetic patients. Over the years, I've gained experience in cardiac rehabilitation, oncology, neuro rehab, mental health, palliative care, and most recently, reablement within the D2A (discharge to assess) pathway. I developed an interest to learn and understand ear anatomy and ear care more profoundly.
I self-funded and completed a clinical ear care course, passing both the theory and practical exams. Now, as a qualified Clinical Ear Care Practitioner, I am proud to serve the community of Stafford and the surrounding areas, bringing professional and compassionate ear wax removal services directly to you.

With over 30 years of NHS experience, I offer a unique level of reassurance and peace of mind that other ear wax removal services might not. I am a patient-experienced health professional, empathetic and dedicated to taking a holistic approach to your care needs and medical background.
I understand various medications, their uses, and contraindications, and I am confident in assessing your suitability for the ear care procedure. Should it be required, a referral to a GP or hospital following assessment can be made. My priority is your safety and well-being, ensuring you receive the most appropriate and effective care.
